This project incorporated architectural and design elements that pay homage to the original Brouwer Furniture Building, which previously occupied the same location. By integrating architectural elements that honor the building’s history and addressing the unique site constraints of a downtown/urban location, the project created a distinctive and harmonious environment that blends the past with the present.
By carefully considering the site constraints and addressing the changing dynamics of the retail market, the development sought to meet the needs of the community while revitalizing the West 8th Street block into a thriving and attractive destination.
5 Townhomes built for Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity. The townhomes will become home to adults with diabilities.
Monroe Community Church had a dream to turn an empty old warehouse downtown Grand Rapids into a functioning church and community venue. MCC has a passion for the GR community and enjoys hosting local events in their space, such as ArtPrize and local art shows.
