GDK has built a relationship with West Ottawa over the last decade through some smaller opportunities to build trust and show our capabilities. Then when this opportunity for a new Athletic Stadium came up, West Ottawa quickly knew where to turn and that GDK Construction had the experience and knowledge to get this premier facility built before the next football season.
Project Solution
West Ottawa Public Schools aimed to create a premier stadium complex in West Michigan to address capacity issues and programming limitations. Located near the high school, the complex offers two synthetic turf fields, an 18×30-foot video board, and a central tunnel for the home team’s entrance. The design provides an intimate spectator experience, removes the track for closer viewing, and includes upgraded amenities. The versatile venue attracts the community and enhances athletic events for all West Ottawa sports.
